Installation steps and precautions for Centos7

Recently, I bought a new server. Most of the current servers and pc machines do not have optical drives. I used usb to install the system this time.
The server does raid 1.

1. Prepare one u dish around 8G;

2, in http: / / mirrors. 163. com centos / 7 / isos x86_64 / download a system, I am using CentOS - 7.0-1406 - x86_64 - DVD. iso;

3. Download one trial version of UltraISO;

4. Use UltraISO to download the system and burn it into u disk; Then, put CentOS-7.0-1406-x86_64-DVD.iso and copy into the root directory of U disk. If your U drive is out of space, you can delete all the files in the "Packages" directory.

5. Enter the bios setting interface of the server and set usb to start;

6. Insert the burned u disk into the server and restart the system;

7. When the following interface appears, press Tab,

        CentOS 7

Install CentOS7
Test this media & install CentOS 7
Troubleshooting

Press Tab for full configuration options on menu items.

At this point, there will be

> vmlinuz initrd=initrd.img inst.stage2=hd:LABEL=CentOS\x207\x20x86_64 rd.live.check quiet

The text appears at the bottom of the screen and changes the line to

> vmlinuz initrd=initrd.img inst.stage2=hd:/dev/sdc4 quiet

Note that the name of usb of device is not the same for each computer. Mine is in /dev/sdc4. If you are not sure about the device name of your usb, you can change the text to device

> vmlinuz initrd=initrd.img linux dd quiet

Enter, the screen will appear to let you choose the interface, you can try 1.

9. Then, you can install it smoothly.

In summary, the installation of CentOS7 is much more convenient than the previous version. However, there are some changes in the system.

Precautions:

1, I under raid 1 installation system, after installation into the interface, a dialog box, prompt "An Unknown Error Has Occurred", detail info at the top of the line, is probably the most prompt exception "/ usr/lib64 / python2. 7 / site - packages/pyanaconda/bootloader py". This is probably because you have some raid data on your hard drive that conflicts with your installer. Next, I formatted the entire disk with diskgenius. Finally, reinstall and finally see the language selection interface.
